What are the characteristics of coal slag? How to determine the characteristics of coal coke slag
Coke slag is the residue left in the crucible after the determination of moisture content. The characteristics of coke slag (CRC) refer to the shape of the remaining substances after the thermal decomposition of coal. According to different shapes, they are divided into 8 serial numbers, and the serial numbers are the characteristic codes of the coke residue.
Category
1. Powder form. It is all powder, with no particles adhering to each other.
2. Adhesion. It turns into powder or basically powder when lightly touched with a finger, and the larger lumps turn into powder when lightly touched.
3. Weak stickiness. Press it lightly with your finger to form small pieces.
4. Non-melting bonding. It cracked into small pieces only when pressed hard with fingers. The upper surface of the coke residue has no luster, while the lower surface has a slightly silvery-white luster.
5. Non-swelling fusion bonding. The coke slag forms flat lumps, and the boundaries of the coal particles are not easy to distinguish. The upper surface of the coke slag has a distinct silver-white metallic luster, and the silver-white luster is even more obvious on the lower surface.
6. Micro-expansion fusion bonding. It cannot be crushed by fingers. Both the upper and lower surfaces of the coke residue have a silvery-white metallic luster. However, the surface of the coke slag has relatively small expansion bubbles.
7. Expansion fusion bonding. Both the upper and lower surfaces of the coke slag have a silvery-white metallic luster, are significantly swollen, but the height does not exceed 15mm.
8. Strong expansion fusion bonding. The upper and lower surfaces of the coke slag have a silvery-white metallic luster, and the height of the coke slag exceeds 15mm.
Features
It is generally believed that No. 1 to No. 2 have no adhesiveness, No. 3 to No. 4 have weak adhesiveness, and No. 5 to No. 8 have strong adhesiveness. However, this method has a relatively large error, and human factors may affect the results.
2. A slag characteristic of no less than 3 should be the most basic requirement for coking coal, as No. 1 to No. 2 are non-sticky. The slag characteristics and other parameters such as the caking index have certain linear or nonlinear relationships, but they vary from coal to coal. The linear or nonlinear relationship between them can be obtained through experiments, and thus the conversion between the two can be carried out according to the formula.
3. The characteristics of coke slag can be applied to various grades of coal, but few people mention the characteristics of coke slag for anthracite without caking property.
To detect the slag characteristics of coal, the JN-800A high-efficiency energy-saving intelligent ash volatilization tester should be used for the detection. The coal laboratory for testing coal needs to be equipped with: Electronic analytical balance, JN-800A high-efficiency energy-saving intelligent ash volatilization tester, digital display blower drying oven, sealed laboratory sample preparation pulverizer, standard sieve, crucible rack, volatile matter crucible, crucible tongs, glass sealed dryer, etc. The characteristics of coal slag refer to the properties of the residue after coal is burned using the JN-800A high-efficiency energy-saving intelligent ash volatilization tester.
